Ephesians 3:20 NKJV
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church of Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever.  Amen.

Ephesians 3:20 AMP
Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the (action of His) power that is at work within us, is able to (carry out His purpose and ) do super abundantly, far over and above all that we dare ask or think (infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts , hopes or dreams) To Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen (so be it).

Immediately following His crucifixion and resurrection, Jesus appeared to the Apostles and breathed into them the life of the Holy Spirit. At Pentecost, the Holy Spirit was released into 3,000 people. These are the Bible’s first accounts of people being saved as the grace of God was poured out into humanity following the death and resurrection of His Son. The sacrifice that formed an Eternal Covenant between God and Jesus for all mankind also installed Jesus as our Advocate where He sits at the right hand of God, making intercession for us every day. The Holy Spirit, the very spirit of God that knows His will, is deposited into us as our internal Counselor, Comforter, Teacher, GPS, and Best Friend. The Holy Spirit is your Sword of Gideon.

The Old Testament story of Gideon details an account of God choosing him to be the one to deliver Israel from the Midianites. Despite his feelings of inadequacy, Gideon continued to put one foot in front of the other in obediance to the will of God. After asking God to confirm His will multiple times, God’s mercy prevailed and Gideon moved forward to fight the Midianites and Amalekites “who lay along the valley like locusts for multitude” (Judges 7:12) As the great battle neared, Gideon heard a dream interpreted that described a cake of barley bread that rolled into the camp of the Midianites, flattening their tent. (Barley was very inexpensive and the least of all grains, distinguished from ‘fine flour’.) Gideon’s family was the poorest in Manasseh and he was the least in his family but through the Lord’s detailed direction, Gideon and his small band of 300 warriors destroyed the Kings and Princes of Midian, Oreb and Zeeb, and 120,000 of their men fell by the Sword.

Ephesians 3:16  AMP
May He grant you out of the rich treasury of His glory to be strengthened with mighty power in the inner man by the Holy Spirit (Himself indwelling your innermost being and personality).

The Holy Spirit is a person, working in and through, enabling you to become more like Christ while providing necessary tools and communication to live successfully. His primary role is to point you to Jesus but one of His roles is to administrate and orchestrate the redemptive covenant benefits awarded by grace through the blood and resurrection of Jesus –

Shammah (His Presence,  Always There, Ezekiel 48:35)
Shalom (Peace, Judges, 6:24)
Ra-ah (Shepherd-Pastor, Psalm 23:1)
Jireh (Provision, Genesis, 22:14)
Nissi (Banner of Victory Over Darkness, Exodus 17:15)
Rapha ( Healer, Exodus, 15:26 )
Righteousness (Tsidkenu, Jeremiah, 23:6)
M’Kaddesh (Sanctifier, Leviticus, 20:6)

It is the will of God for all people to fully understand what His Son purchased for them and walk in the fullness of the glory of the New Covenant.

Over the past year plus more following the devastating April 2011 tornado, I have prayed diligently for my hometown; Tuscaloosa, Alabama. One December day, I prayed a simple prayer asking God specifically to allow the University of Alabama to win the BCS Championship. I barely know a field goal from a safety but  I do understand that winning the National Championship brings hundreds of thousands of fans to Tuscaloosa, driving millions of dollars into its sales tax base, money still urgently needed for tornado recovery.  Following my prayer, I felt a single yet strong, and very definitive confirmation from the Holy Spirit. The University of Alabama football team not only won the BCS Championship title, but shut out its opponent. Throughout this spring, the U of A has won National Championship titles in women’s golf, women’s softball, gymnastics and also recruited the #1 college football team for next season. I believe there is more to come.

God loves us, and wants to bless us exceedingly and abundantly more than we could ever imagine.  I was content with one (albeit major) football game but blessing continues to flow on this program. How many times do we put limitations on God, becoming satisfied with our finite ideas of what He could do for us when He has planned exceedingly and abundantly more? He has removed all major obstacles through the sacrifice of His Son, which formed an eternal covenant with Him to provide for the needs of every Believer.

To my friends that cheered for the opposing team during the Championship….Hey – It was only a game!  But you’re the ones that taught me how to pray!  🙂

Joel 3: 10-17  AMP
“Proclaim this among the nations: prepare war! Stir up the mighty men! Let all the men of war draw near, let them come up. Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning hooks into spears; let the weak say, I am strong (a warrior)! Put in the sickle for the (vintage) harvest is ripe; come, get down and tread the grapes, for the winepress is full; the vats overflow, for the wickedness (of the peoples) is great. Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision. The sun and the moon are darkened and the stars withdraw their shining. The Lord will thunder and roar from Zion and utter His voice from Jerusalem, and the heavens and the earth shall shake; but the Lord will be a refuge for His people and a stronghold to the children of Israel. So shall you know, understand, and realize that I am the Lord your God, dwelling in Zion, My holy mountain.

Mathew 3 gives an account of John the Baptist; clothed in camel hair  with a leather girdle around his waist (sounds painful).  A man that consumed a diet of locusts and wild honey, he was passionate about God, baptizing multitudes of people, and awaiting the Messiah.  He noticed that many in the crowd were Pharisees and Sadduccees – “So he said to the crowds who came out to be baptized by him, ‘You offspring of vipers! (Luke 3 AMP) Who secretly warned you to flee from the coming wrath? Bear fruits that are deserving and consistent with (your) repentance (that is conduct worthy of a heart changed, a heart abhorring sin). And do not begin to say to yourselves, “we have Abraham as our father”; for I tell you that God is able from these stones to raise up descendants for Abraham. Even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees, so that every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire.”   John was lacking in a few fruits himself namely gentleness and kindness but his bold approach got the job done. John the Baptist was a Gospel warrior and Jesus loved him stating” that no one greater had ever been born of a woman!” When the “viper-people” asked John what fruits “deserving and consistent with repentance”  looked like  – he gave the following answer (not an all encompassing list but helpful):

Luke 3: 7 – 14
He who has two tunics, let him share with him who has none – Clothe the Poor
He who has food, let him do it the same way – Feed the Poor
Exact and collect no more than the fixed amount appointed to you – Take no more than what is owed
Never demand or enforce by terrifying or wrongfully accusing – Do not intimidate or falsely accuse
Be satisfied with your rations (supplies) and your allowance (wages) – Be content with what you have

After that, the Bible records that John gave The Good News to them (taught the Gospel message).

A New Covenant Believer is a person that truly identifies, accepts, understands and acts by faith and with faith to claim benefits and authority  purchased at the Exchange at the Cross by the blood of Jesus and one that exemplifies a changed life. (not a perfect life but one that is yielded to God). The belief in Jesus’ sacrifice serves as personal ratification of an eternal, unbreakable covenant,  setting into motion a release of all of the redemptive covenant benefits that we now own. God is waiting for His people to believe in everything that His Son purchased  for them at the cross, applying His blood by faith so that He can grant the redemptive benefits for which He paid with His life . (Why Blood? read: Crimson Flow of Freedom and Canceling the Code. )  Jesus said, “It is finished”.  This is The Good News. This is what A BELIEVER should believe.

Although the Good News is in fact good – the Good News continues to be delivered in a negative, condemning manner by some internationally recognized, well meaning preachers (Special Note: Not mine).  Repent means simply to ” change your mind  or experience a change of heart” – change your mind, accept what Jesus did for you – because if you do not want to, you simply have never heard an accurate account of what He has done.  Jesus is fabulous and among many other important benefits He provided, you would have a one-way eternal ticket to the hottest place on the planet without Him. It is interesting to note in Mark 1:4 that when J the B preached repentance it was defined as a change of one’s mind for the better, heartily amending one’s ways, with abhorrence of past sins AND in order to obtain forgiveness of and release from sins. After John was arrested in vs 14 Jesus began preaching this same Gospel Good News of the kingdom saying,  “The (appointed period of ) time is fulfilled (completed), and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent (have a change of mind which issues in regret of past sins and in change of conduct for the better) and believe (trust in, rely on, and adhere to ) the good news (the Gospel)”. There is no mention of forgiveness and release here because He was to be their release . When He mentioned the Good News, you have to wonder if He really wanted to say – And that’s Me!

Our responsibility and opportunity is to embrace Jesus for what He has already paid on our behalf and to walk out the remarkable benefits and blessings that we now own.  The news about Jesus is extraordinarily good, in fact it is great: we have already been forgiven by God. Jesus has completed that process which is why He proclaimed, “It is Finished.” He could have said any number of things; “Goodbye Mama! “, “Here I come Father”, “I love you all”, but He chose these very specific words to be recorded when He released (gave up)  His spirit and laid His head down to finally rest. Our sin has already been remitted (forgiven)  by God – Jesus was the eternal sacrifice for each of us. God now views those that BELIEVE in what His Son accomplished for them (people that have repented by changing their mind, andbelieving in Jesus) and embracing the truth in its fullness, seeing them clothed in the white robes of righteousness that have all been washed by the holy blood of the perfect sacrifice of His Son.

There are multitudes of people in the Valley of Decision. We need gospel warriors; John the Baptist wannabe BELIEVERS that will prepare the way of the Lord in great numbers. This is time sensitive. I listen for the trumpet to sound.

When I prepare to write, I pray for Holy Spirit to reveal what  He wants me to communicate. The process is often the same: consistent word themes and experiences begin occurring repeatedly in a compressed timeframe leaving little guesswork.  (He knows I need all the help I can get). As I am sure it does with you as you read your bible, the Holy Spirit will highlight something that He wants to reveal and you alone know what He is pointing out.

This past weekend, a song that I had listened to multiple times suddenly showed up in quadraphonic almost technicolor sound with more deeply enhanced clarity than ever before; “Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord, Prepare Ye The Way of the Lord” a clock ticks in the background of the lyrics.  7 minutes later, sitting in my car, I haphazardly opened the bible lying in my lap as I was about to walk into a prayer session. I looked down, my eyes landed squarely on Matthew 11:10 NIV

this is the one about whom it is written:
” I will send the messenger ahead of you,
who will prepare your way before you.”

That same Saturday evening, I returned home around 9:30 pm, sat down on the sofa and turned on the television which remains set on a christian channel. Before the picture even came on the screen, I began hearing through the black box, “Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord; make His paths straight, Every valley shall be filled, And every mountain and hill brought low; The crooked places shall be made straight, And the rough ways smooth; and all flesh shall see the salvation of God“  (Luke 3:4-6) and there was Charlton Heston as John the Baptist in the river baptizing people.  I just started shaking my head and broke into a cold sweat. This was the third “prepare” message in a 10 hour timeframe. The following day, the first message I listened to focused on a description of what a church preparing for the return of Jesus looks like – then later that afternoon I witnessed massive numbers of people (hundreds)  participating in spontaneous water baptisms. You can draw your own conclusion, but I believe Holy Spirit is quite serious about communicating preparation.

What does preparing the way of the Lord look like for you? How will  you make His beaten paths straight?

As Believers, we must recognize fear as the dangerous portal to evil that it is  – Fear is the foundation of almost any poor decision, and the primary spiritual root cause of almost every emotional malaise. Fear will kill you unless you kill it first –

Hebrews 13:6 AMP
So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently and boldly say, The Lord is my Helper; I will not be seized with alarm (I will not fear or dread or be terrified.) What can man do to me?

If you look closely at the root of all negative emotion; envy, discord, strife,  jealousy, insecurity, selfish ambition, pride, disrespect, lying it is undergirded and confidently supported by a sled of FEAR, which is the antithesis of faith. God will only work through faith (the leaning on the entire human personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness) to upright you in your circumstances. Fear simply prolongs the ride. Fear Not! The Scriptures exhort us never to be afraid.

When Jesus’ Body was sacrificed on our behalf – He purchased our right to a free mind; freedom from all torment, fear, anxiety, confusion, shame, and depression. ( Isaiah 53:5 ) His Blood  purchased our deed of ownership to the right to peace always as our natural state. Jesus’ sacrifice allows each of us the opportunity to walk out this knowledge by utilizing the tool box of the Eternal  Covenant; the Name of Jesus, the Blood of Jesus, and the Word of God. When you pray, do not  do so begging God from a defeated or even a weakened stance – you ALREADY OWN PEACE OF MIND – YOU ARE ALREADY FREE.  It was purchased for you through the grace of the Exchange and is to be internally maintained through the Power of the Holy Spirit. Pray from a position of ownership, not as a tenant.

Hebrews 10:14-23 AMP
For by a single offering He has forever completely cleansed and perfected those who are consecrated and made holy. And also the Holy Spirit adds His testimony to us (in confirmation of this). For having said, This is the testament, covenant) that I will set up and conclude with them after those days, says the Lord: I will imprint My laws upon their hearts, and I will inscribe them on their minds (on their inmost thoughts and understanding), He then goes on to say, And their mind and their law breaking I will remember no more. Now where there is absolute remission (forgiveness and cancellation of the penalty) of these (minds and law breaking) there is no longer any offering made to atone for sin. Therefore brethren since we have full freedom and confidence to enter the Holy of Holies that is through His flesh and since we have such a great and wonderful and noble Priest (Who rules) over the house of God. Let us all come forward and draw near with true (honest and sincere)  hearts in unqualified engendered by faith having our heats sprinkled and purified from a guilty (evil) conscience and our bodies cleansed with pure water. So let us seize and hold fast and retain without wavering the hope we cherish and confess and our acknowledgement of it, for He Who promised is reliable (sure) and faithful to His word.

If you have a relationship with Jesus as your Savior you now live IN CHRIST JESUS – covered and protected in Him and by Him.  You own the mind of Christ – your mind and Christ’s mind are ONE. This is a dynamic shift in thinking – we pray from a free and redeemed stance; whether you feel free or not. You possess everything that you need for your own freedom and deliverance.  You are now One with Christ Jesus and when the Father looks at you, He sees You through the lens of His Son’s sacrifice. Now picture not the Jesus Christ beaten, covered in blood, and dying while hanging from a tree but see the Christ Jesus of the Revelation.

And in the midst of the lampstands (One) like a Son of Man, clothed with a robe which reached to His feet and with a girdle of gold about His chest. His head and His hair were white like wool, (as white) as snow, and His eyes (flashed) like a flame of fire. His feet glowed like burnished bronze as it is refined in a furnace, and His voice was like the sound of many waters. In His right hand He held seven stars, and from His mouth there came forth a sharp two-edged sword, and His face was like the sun shining in full power at midday. Rev. 1:13

This is Your Jesus Now. He has given you His Holy Spirit and you are strong IN HIM. God loves you. We must understand what we now own and learn how to pray –

STRATEGIC PRAYER AGAINST FEAR/ ANXIETY/ CONFUSION/ OFFENSE

I thank you Father, for the authority that I own because of the sacrifice of Your Son on the Cross on my behalf; every lash He took on His Body, every thorn in that Crown, and every nail that pierced Him purchased healing in my body and peace within my mind. I ask that my heart and mind be sprinkled with the blood of Christ Jesus and therefore guarded by Him. That your Holy Spirit apprehend every spirit that is not from God.

Fear, (or anxiety, confusion, offense, condemnation)  I command you by the Power and Authority that I have by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on my behalf, to release me now. As I look unto Jesus and the crown of thorns that He wore to pay for my mind to be free, I decree that the spirit of Fear be bound and broken in the name of Jesus.  I ask the Holy Spirit to release in me the mind of Christ – Jehovah Shalom.
In Jesus’ Mighty Name AMEN!

The greatness of God rouses fear within us, but His goodness encourages us not to be afraid of Him. To fear and not be afraid – that is the paradox of faith

The Atmosphere of His Presence

 Psalm 27: 4 – 6 AMP
The Psalm of King David
One thing have I asked of the Lord that I will seek, inquire for and (insistently) require. That I may dwell in the house of the Lord (in His Presence) all the days of my life, to behold and gaze upon the beauty (the sweet attractiveness and the delightful loveliness) of the Lord and to meditate, consider and inquire in His temple.

For in the day of trouble, He will hide me in His shelter, in the secret place of His tent will He hide me; He will set me high upon a rock, And now shall my head be lifted up above my enemies round about me; in His tent I will offer sacrifices and shouting of joy, I will sing, yes I will sing praises to the Lord.

An account of the Bay Revival, Mobile Alabama

There is an atmosphere where His Presence dwells and no evil can sustain – no torment or hindering thoughts, no condemnation or guilt, no distractions. There is an atmosphere where every negative thought chokes, then sputters, and vaporizes – a climate of consistent, thunderous praise and endless petitions of prayer requesting the majesty of His Presence. This is the air of holiness, the birthplace of miracles, but instead of by ones and twos they occur by the dozens.  Bondage cannot breathe in His Presence because where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Liberty.

This weekend, I attended the Bay Revival. Each time I go and watch the magnificent power of God move it astounds me. No matter your belief about Revivals,  it is absolutely impossible to “manufacture” what you witness. There is no other explanation but God moving but not orderly or organized as we think of the Holy Spirit’s typical actions. Revival is achieved in part by taking command of an atmosphere and drawing His Presence into an environment where He wants to work and move in mass display.  I hope that this same thunderous praise and prayer is pervasive in Heaven’s divine atmosphere. How wonderful if Heaven has one large eternal Revival tent. “Has anyone seen Divinely Constructed today?  – oh yes, walk past The Pearlies, down the main street of gold and turn left at the fourth jasper wall. You can’t miss the tent! You will certainly find her there.”  Glory!

I’m glad that my body  is a tent – and in it I possess internal Revival purchased for me through the Exchange at the Cross. Jesus’ body was sacrificed as our gateway into an eternal covenant. He will hide me in the place of His shelter, in the secret place of His tent will He hide me – we can hide in the shelter of praise and worship – our own intimate Revival and communion tent with Him – and offer up praise and thanksgiving.  …. And now shall my head be lifted up above my enemies – He will act to defend us from liars, and shame slanderers and derail the strategies of our enemies. (An enemy is someone who openly diminishes your influence in your absence and resists your success.) Jesus’ Blood purifies us, allowing the precious gift of God’s Presence. God cannot look upon or be in the presence of sin so if not for what Jesus did, we could never cohabit any environment with Him.  Jesus’ body was exchanged to enable us permanent access to the power of the Holy Spirit.  His torn body bought us peace, righteousness, healing, sanctification, provision, victory over darkness, restoration and His protection as our shepherd.  Healing, freedom, righteousness, defeat of demonic power – can only be granted to you by the Holy Spirit because of the Holy Blood of Jesus.

Last night I was at the Revival and left an offering, a short note/ prayer request and a few of my articles focusing on the Blood of Jesus in the collection box for Pastor Nathan. I arrived back in town today (Sunday) around 1:45 and drove straight to the car wash to de-insect my white vehicle from the 4 hour drive. As I was leaving, a conversation started with a person in the vehicle next to mine. I was standing between the driver’s side seat and the open door, my arms draped over the car door and I was slightly leaning on it – she was on the other side of the car door.

While in mid-sentence suddenly my body started tingling then it felt like a FIREBALL blew through my spirit – like a rocket went through me. I thought I was going to hit the ground – my knees buckeled, and I couldn’t finish my sentence. For several seconds, I did not know if I was going to be able to stand. This woman looked at me like I was nuts but I could not tell her what had just happened. I recovered and kept up the discussion –  but WOW!

All I can say is Brother Nathan – if that was you praying for me – I want what you’ve got!    TG
