#storyofJob

As we continue to look at prayer through the understanding of Jesus the Master Teacher we must consider that now He has been installed into the office of High Priest, making constant supplication to the Father on behalf of the one’s that He has been given. Notice that I did not say, all of mankind. Jesus specifically intercedes for the people that God gave to Him as a gift (John 17:9 ). This does not just only refer to the disciples but in fact, God knows Who will come to His Son. Every believer is a precious and distinct gift given to Jesus. Isn’t it beautiful to consider that you are a gift to the Lord ?

In the story of Job, the writer initially portrays him as a successful man protected by God and goes onto state that Job was ‘blameless and upright, and one who reverently feared God and abstained from and shunned evil’. So why was Job allowed access by Satan – the Accuser ?

Job 1:9-11 AMP
” Then Satan answered the Lord, Does Job (reverently) fear God for nothing? Have you not put a hedge about him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have conferred prosperity and happiness upon him in the work of his hands and his possessions have increased in the land. But put forth Your hand now and touch all that he has, and he will curse You to Your face. “

We know that Job constantly focused on the potential sins of his daughters and sons, making offerings for them to cover any sin in which they even might have been engaged.  Job’s incessant fear that his family had sinned could have been the very thing that brought down his hedge of protection. The spirit of fear and the emotion of fear is the rope on which the enemy uses to swing into the minds of God’s people. Fear (and unforgiveness) is the great key that unlocks demonic force.

Job 1:5 AMP
“And when the days of their feasting were over, Job sent for them to purify and hallow them, and rose up early in the morning and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned and cursed or disowned God in their hearts. Thus did Job at all times.”

Recently, I was listening to an audiobook of a highly respected evangelist who is now deceased. This is a man from whom I have learned much, particularly as it pertains to prayer and deliverance. He, too, addressed the passage on Job but his interpretation of the result of Job’s constant prayers on behalf of the sins of his family was completely different. His belief was that Job’s intercession was what brought him a multiplied blessing following the loss of everything he owned; children, livestock and money.  No mention was made of the negative consequences of the constant fear that potentially opened the initial door to the enemy’s oppression.

The Bible states that it was when Job turned to God in faith, acknowledging that the Lord “can do all things and that no thought or purpose of Yours can be restrained or thwarted”  (Job 42:2) was when Satan’s curse began to reverse.  God asked Job to pray for his doubting friends. It is then that He healed Job, blessing his latter days more than the former, living to 140 years.  God restored all that Job had lost and actually received double!

Our truth today is that we now walk in something else, a no longer new normal that was made permanent and ratified by the resurrection of Christ Jesus. Today we walk in a New Covenant or Agreement.

The cornerstone of this truth is to understand that Jesus paid for all of our sin and even guilt (condemnation) through His sacrifice. This means ALL sin from the beginning of mankind to the end of life. Christ Jesus ( Christ is an office meaning the Anointed One ) has made a covenant with God on our behalf and is now installed at the right hand of the Father as our High Priest, Mediator of this Eternal Covenant, Chief Shepherd as well as the Chief Intercessor. His sacrifice opened a way to a new and better covenant, one not built on the blood of bulls and goats, but one that was built on the Surety of Himself.

Hebrews 9:15 AMP
“[Christ the Messiah ] is therefore the Negotiator and Mediator of an [entirely] new agreement (testament, covenant) so that those who are called and offered it may receive the fulfillment of the promised everlasting inheritance – since a death has taken place which rescues and delivers and redeems them from the transgressions committed under the old first agreement. “

Hebrews 9:18-20 AMP
“So even the (old) first covenant (God’s will) was not inaugurated  and ratified and put in force without the shedding of blood. For when every command of the Law had been read out by Moses to all the people, he took the blood of slain calves and goats, together with the water and scarlet wool and with a bunch of hyssop, and sprinkled both the Book (the roll of the Law and covenant) itself and all the people. Saying these words: This is the blood that seals and ratifies the agreement (the testament, the covenant) which God commanded me to deliver to you. ”

The Law given to Moses was the Old Covenant. The Israelites wanted written rules to live by but this was not God’s best for them. The good was traded for the best which was for the laws to be engraved onto their hearts and minds, that they would know by the Spirit that they were engaging in right or wrong actions.

When we remain in right standing with God, we are secured in the ark of Jesus. We are given protection based on His righteousness and not through our works but through His perfect right standing to the Father. This is not of anything that we can boast or perform to attain, it is a gateway that was opened by the blood of Jesus.

II Corinthians 5:21 AMP
“For our sake He made Christ [virtually] to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in and through Him we might become the righteousness of God “[ what we ought to be, approved, and acceptable, and in right relationship with Him, by His goodness].

As we see ourselves established in faith that we are in right standing with God through the blood of Jesus, Jesus becomes our hedge. We become the righteousness of God in Christ.

So my friend, see Christ Jesus as your hedge paid for by His blood and give testimony today of what His blood has done for you. As you pray, do so knowing that your Lord Jesus has made the ultimate down payment to become your eternal hedge of protection.

Isaiah 54:14 “You shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror , for it shall not come near you.”

Each week I am providing a teaching on prayer and for the next few weeks will single out a quality pertaining to the life of Jesus. Last week was His Righteousness and today is the Blood of Jesus. For many years, into decades in fact, I attended churches and engaged with ministries that taught very little about Jesus although some have now gained the understanding. Knowing Jesus and to understand His qualities, His nature, and what we have been given through Him is foundational to a powerful prayer life.

Hundreds of times, I have heard the term ‘Prayer Warrior‘  A ‘warrior’ is defined as a person skilled in combat or warfare especially within the context of a tribal or clan-based society that recognizes a separate warrior class. (reference: Freebase)  So for our purposes a warrior is a division, if you will, of people highly skilled in prayer and intercession. Using the Church as the tribe or clan, a Prayer Warrior would be skilled in principles of spiritual war, including strategy and tactics but most importantly a knowledge and applied understanding of the authority that they possess by being in Christ. These principles can impact the outcome of circumstances for an individual, a city, nation or really anything, through petitions to God and through the realm of the spirit. There can be no one truly worthy of being called a ‘prayer warrior’ that does not understand Christ’s sacrifice and the meaning of His blood.

The Blood of Jesus is a subject so vast that we can spend days studying it but for our purposes, I will provide highlights rather than a deep dive on the fullness of the magnificent power still held in the Blood of Christ Jesus. To begin, His blood and the resurrection served as the ratification for a New Covenant between God and Jesus and the Agreement that is a guarantee of a new and better way on behalf of all mankind.

Hebrews 7:22 AMP In keeping with (the oath’s greater strength and force) Jesus has become the Guarantee of a better (stronger) Agreement ( a more excellent and advantageous covenant).

Hebrews 9:14-15 AMP  “How much more surely shall the blood of Christ, Who by virtue of [His] eternal Spirit [His own pre-existent divine personality] has offered Himself as an unblemished sacrifice to God, purify our consciences from dead works and lifeless observances to serve the [ever] living God? 15 Christ the Messiah is therefore the Negotiator and Mediator of an [entirely] new agreement (testament, covenant) so that those who are called and offered it may receive the fulfillment of the promised everlasting inheritance – since a death has taken place which rescues and delivers and redeems them from the transgressions committed under the (old) first agreement.”

I remember when I first began to study and learn about Jesus’ blood. I confess I had this thought, “Ugh blood ……. why blood”? Why cant it be anything else other than blood? The reason is that life –  life of all living creatures – is carried and held in the blood. But Jesus’ blood was different, it was very different because it carried within it NO SIN. So how did this happen? It is because the Holy Spirit “fathered” Jesus, forming Him in the womb of His mother, Mary,  thereby bypassing the Adamic line of sin. (Matthew 1:18) The final sacrifice for our freedom had to come from a sinless blood line because of God’s holiness.

Not only is Life in the Blood, the Spirit and the Blood are one and inseparable. That the outpouring of the blood of Christ was to make way for the outpouring of the Spirit – our internal teacher, comforter, healer, wisdom guide, and giver of spiritual gifts. Holy Spirit is the One that administrates and coordinates all of the gifts of the New Covenant on behalf of the Son and the Father.

The Blood of Jesus serves as the only true means of release from sin and guilt and the remission of the due and merited punishment for sin. That Christ’s Blood’s unending flow perpetually covers the sins of the Righteous and is the eternal substitute and propitiation to God. The Blood extends its grace over and above every personal sacrifice, performance based act, striving, or adherence to Law. There is no action or personal sacrifice that exalts itself above the blood of Jesus or can redeem any sin.

The Blood of Christ continually cleanses even from the beginning of our lives until the end of life. The word for this is “efficacious”. This once and for all sacrifice and the grace that has been shown to us should be respected and must be an intentional spoken action. Jesus’ blood has completely erased our sin. The devil’s biggest threat is the blood of Christ – whose continuous flow constantly reminds him that he has been defeated. When he walks about seeking whom he can destroy, he must pass you by when covered with the blood of Jesus. The Blood coupled with the unwavering knowledge that you are God’s Beloved is the greatest place of safety available to humanity. This once and for all sacrifice and the grace that has been shown to us should be respected and acknowledged by the turning away from sin. Blood is the eternal currency of Heaven.

Jesus said that “Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you …. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in Me and I abide in Him”. (John 6:53-56) He spoke this in reference to the Holy Communion which is also known as the Lord’s Supper. There is no deeper or more powerful inward action that permeates the body like the taking of the Lord’s Supper which carries the very DNA of Christ. Christ stated that you have to take it.

Canva - Holy Communion

My final point is that His sacrifice, through the shedding of His blood, covers the scope of every human need:

Healing (Rapha, Exodus 15:26)
Provision (Jireh,Genesis 22:14)
God’s presence, Victory over darkness (Nissi, Exodus 17:15)
Peace (Shalom, Judges 6:24)
Pastor/Shepherd (Ra-ah, Psalm 23:1)
Redeemer of righteousness (Tsidkenu,
Jeremiah 23:6)
Sanctifier (M’ Kaddesh, Leviticus 20:8).

Your prayers must be spoken from victory and not from a defeated stance – the battle has already been won. Honor Him by embracing and walking out your benefits. What we have been given is a miracle. Decree, make declarations and approach the throne of grace with confidence and in ever present hope. Hope means a confident expectation of good in every situation. Remain hopeful in all times.

Canva- Lord's Prayer

“ Then He was praying in a certain place (boldface mine) and when He stopped, one of His disciples said to Him,  ‘Lord!  Teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.’ ”
Luke 11:1

To attempt to instruct on prayer without deferring and submitting to the Master Teacher would be the greatest disservice to anyone desiring to learn. Jesus’ teachings on prayer are foundational and after all, Who would have a better understanding? As the Chief Intercessor, He is now seated at the right hand of the Father and His primary role is to intercede on our behalf.

If you are on a sincere journey to understand more about prayer, I encourage you to stop now and pray to Jesus in humility, asking Him to open your eyes on what He wants you to learn regarding HIS practice. This will require you and me starting over and learning afresh with no preconceived notions, templates or agendas.  Today,  I ask Christ to begin unlocking the rich mysteries and treasuries of prayer for us each day while we are meeting together in prayer school.

Canva -Woman Praying Blog banner

Luke 11:1
specifically mentions that Jesus was praying in a certain place –  our first duty will be to establish a place of quiet to commune with Jesus, to hear from Him, allow to be taught and thereby develop a trusting relational fellowship; one so close that you will hear and distinguish His voice. The goal is for you and for me to ABIDE and to learn to rest and perpetually DWELL in Him.

The unstated objective of prayer is having power with God more than men. This objective cannot be overstated nor minimized and prayer is what achieves this power. Powerful prayer moves mightily from a combination of relationship with Him and through our ever deepening revelation of the Father’s nature and characteristics. Christ is the Breath of Prayer and the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Prayer and they together will lead and guide us. Jesus sees our hearts and therefore what He desires to accomplish in and through us as we submit to His leadership and ask Him to teach us to pray but we must be able to listen.

” And when you pray, go into your (most) private room, and closing your door, pray to your Father, Who is in secret and the Father, Who sees in secret, will reward you in the open. “  Matthew 6:6

God wants us to dwell or abide (spend time from a position of rest) with Him in the secret place – the place that delivers from the storms of life. This is THE place of protection; where one Abides in the Shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91:1) The Hebrew meaning of shadow is protection: from disease, terror, darkness, anything that comes against His children. Abiding with the Father is where you find true connection and will draw strength from Him. This only comes through acute focus on God, His Word and looking with expectation unto Jesus – the Covenant Son.

Canva - shelter in snow

But there is more, much more – His Spirit has been poured into your spirit so YOU now are the dwelling place of God, the Secret Place is YOUR spirit, secured by the death and resurrection of the Son. The Secret Place is contained by the boundaries of your spirit – the true secret place is deeply within where you sense or feel the faint movements of confirmation or His jolting warnings as He shows you the way and how to walk in it. This is only revealed by devoting time in building a relationship with Him yet even then, He sometimes will hide His pathway to have you seek His will with everything within you. Ask, seek, knock! Take heart, if you seek you will eventually find.

To understand God is to know Him as a receptor of Light. As an ear receives and understands sound and an eye receives and processes images, translating them into objects or people – God is a Receptor that receives on a frequency of thanksgiving, high praise, righteous petitions, repentance, acknowledgement of His Son and His Spirit, intercession for others and petitions for ourselves. God is a Spirit and our highest form of communication with Him is spirit to spirit.

When we accept that His Son, is His Son and the only payment for our sin debt, we pass through a glorious invisible veil to what He has for us and it is here that He delivers us the GREAT reward of His Spirit. He actually makes a way for us to have what He desires for us through Himself. God as The Triune, is completely contained in perfection.

Canva - Man with young son

In the secret place is where Christ Jesus, the Anointed, will breathe on The Spirit, instructing as The Truth, teaching you the fundamental attributes of His Father, your Father – His Fatherhood and His Fatherliness through demonstrations of His infinite and immutable devotion and love for you. This love for His children is the cornerstone from which all prayer must be grounded and established. While on earth, He was the only one that addressed God as Father and He returned to make known the truth that God was and is a family man. Without the knowledge and confidence of God’s deep love there can be no trust and assurance that He desires to answer all prayers of His will. Without the knowledge and confidence of His deep love, one cannot fully accept that He is truly working things to the good for those who love Him and will walk according to His purposes. (Romans 8:28)

Canva - Classroom and teacher

So in our opening session, we have learned the following truths:

1) We need a consistently quiet place to commune with God and to hear from Him
2) The journey of prayer is lengthy as it takes time to build and develop a relationship.
3) This prayer journey must occur with Jesus and the Holy Spirit and is not a solo flight.
4) Your own spirit is now the Secret Place where He dwells. (This is a New Covenant truth.)
5) God loves His children and is a true ‘family man’ (but really a Spirit but you know what I mean). #Godisafamilyman   #GodthefirstFamilyMan

And off we go ……………………………..

Being offended, Remaining in a state of offense, The dangers of remaining offended

heritageofsaints

Luke 4:18
The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me [the Anointed One, the Messiah ] to preach the good news (the Gospel) to the poor; He has sent Me to announce release to the captives and the recovery of sight to the blind, to send forth as delivered those who are oppressed [who are downtrodden, bruised, crushed and broken down by calamity], 19 To proclaim the accepted and acceptable year of the Lord (the day when salvation and the free favors of God profusely abound) (see also Isaiah 61:1.2). 20 Then He rolled up the book and gave it back to the attendant and sat down; and the eyes of all in the synagogue were gazing (attentively) at Him. 21 And He began to speak to them: Today this Scripture has been fulfilled while you are present and hearing.

These are words of Jesus teaching in the temple in Nazareth on the Sabbath to the priests and to His people.

Jesus proceeded to explain to the crowd that a prophet is not accepted in his own town or welcomed in his own town (country) and then provided examples: vs 4:26 Elijah the prophet overlooked the widows of  Israel during a 3 year period of famine and was sent to Zarephath in Sidon, and vs 4:27 Elisha the prophet did not heal the many lepers in his native Israel but chose instead to heal someone in Syria.

vs 28 And when they heard these things; all the people in the synagogue were filled with rage.

In fact they became OFFENDED. Jesus was merely the son of Joseph and He was saying that He had come to deliver them as captives. “Is not this Joseph’s Son”?  Luke 4:22 The word Offense is Skandalon and in the Greek is defined as follows by Strong’s:

(skándalon) is the native rock rising up through the earth, which trips up the traveler, hence, of Jesus the Messiah, to the Jews who refused him” (Souter); “properly, the bait-stick of a trap, a snare, stumbling-block” (Abbott-Smith); “the stick in the trap that springs and closes the trap when the animal touches it” (WP, 1, 46).]

Did you know that when people become offended at the works of Jesus; ie healing, deliverance, supernatural signs – this disconnects the flow of the anointing within the one who carries the anointing? It is a focus on and faith in what He has done that provides the conduit and pathway from one person to another. This is why the devil’s favorite play is to orchestrate offenses.

So even if you are a Christian and embrace the works stated in scripture of what Jesus did and what you as well have the power to release – if you reject the vessel that is carrying the message – you disconnect the vessel from the anointing  and the divine ability they have to pour into you.

Mark 6:3-6 Is not this the Carpenter, the son of Mary and the brother of James, Joses and Judas and Simon ? And are not His sisters here among us?  And they took offense at Him and were hurt (that is they disapproved of Him, and it hindered them from acknowledging His authority and they were caused to stumble and fall. But Jesus said to them, a prophet is not without honor (deference, reverence) except in his own country and among [his] relatives and in his (own) house. 5 And He was not able to do even one work of power there, except that He laid His hands on a few sickly people and cure them. 6 And He marveled because of their unbelief (their lack of faith in Him). And He went about among the surrounding villages and continued teaching.

We have all heard of the spirit of Anti Christ. No one refers to this as the spirit of “Anti – Jesus”. Why? People in Jesus’ time were not against Jesus as a Man, but they became offended at Jesus in His position as The Christ – they were offended by the abilities that He displayed through the power of His anointing. This offense and absence of faith prevented Jesus from doing much to release them, leaving Him to teach and heal, not to His own countrymen, but across the surrounding areas. Christ Jesus, is a title, ‘The Anointed One Jesus’ which He was awarded following His death and His resurrection; the single act that ratified the new covenant. Christ Jesus now holds office in the triune Godhead.

Following His baptism by John and a 40 day wilderness journey where the devil showed up at the end to try to tempt Him in all number of ways (and failed), Jesus returned first to His own people, only to be rejected by the religious. The people of Israel had taken the bait of Satan, becoming hooked into unbelief through the bait of offense. Jesus threw in the towel to act on behalf of His own because the people refused to see who He was or acknowledge that He had been sent with an anointing to heal, deliver and restore. This act of disrespect was a tragic miscalculation.

A religious spirit is a counterfeit to the work of the Holy Spirit – the “religious” cannot duplicate the supernatural, nor can they understand it, so they seek to either discredit or even destroy a person that moves in this and that is Spirit-led. The religious are either puffed up or self righteous, believing that their own lengthy prayers, which are never spirit led, are working.  It was this same spirit of religion that was responsible for putting Jesus on the Cross, “Crucify Him, crucify Him!” screamed the religious rabbi’s of the day. They of course could not kill Jesus, no one could kill Jesus. He allowed Himself to be (for 3 days) and even then He dismissed His own spirit to return to His Father when His work was complete.

I am teaching on this subject so my readers will understand the power and consequences of remaining in a state of offense. Not only a prospective receiver of a gift through an anointing can deflect the gift through offense but a person carrying the anointing can have it blocked from release if they remain offended.

Moral of the Story: Remain Unoffendable.

Blessings!

Red heart icon with sign heartbeat.

“All the days of the desponding and afflicted are made evil [ by anxious thoughts and forebodings ], but he who has a glad heart has a continual feast [regardless of circumstances ] ”  Proverbs 15:15 AMP

” A happy heart is good medicine, and a cheerful mind works by healing, but a broken spirit dries up the bones”.  Proverbs  17:22 AMP

” Attitude is a little thing that can make a big difference“.  Winston Churchill

Many of us will agree there is a direct, undeniable connection between the mind and the body. It is how to calm and tame the soul (mind, will, emotions) – bringing it to cheerful joy and peace despite circumstances – is what eludes so many.

In 2009, I made a personal decision to return to my hometown after being away since 1979. I put my home on the market and began a job search, hoping to find something quickly as I had been a marketing freelancer which did not translate well in this new much smaller, college town environment. In the summer of 2009, I went on a spiritual retreat designed to free me of fears and habits that had accumulated over time. This was my hometown and a place in which I held unhappy memories and conflicts with family members were ongoing and troubling. In the natural, this did not seem like the right move however, I believed that God had a plan and a purpose for my return.

Following this 4 day retreat, I was attacked by something that I can only describe as a “spirit” as it was supernatural in its make up. Nothing I did would cause it to release. A trained Intercessor, I prayed, and then yes, begged God to remove this spirit that was causing me to stay awake at night – I only received at most 4 hours of sleep, and my heart raced uncontrollably as if I was literally having a heart attack.  I felt like I was having what a nervous breakdown must feel like – but understood there was something very different about what was happening and I was correct.

During that 6 week period – I experienced a consistent feeling of terror, the highest degree of fear – that would never disconnect, day or night. It was not brought on by emotion, or circumstances but was supernatural in nature and demonic, a “thing” that tried to take my life and almost did. Suddenly, six weeks after the attack began, it released. I was standing in my living room praying and I felt it lift away – with no warning, just as quickly as it had come upon me. I had been praying for 6 weeks and believe there was nothing unique at that time as to what I said or prayed. Following that attack, I lived in an unfocused fog and detached confusion but months later thankfully that too lifted. This attack taught me survival training regarding prayer and how to hold peace in difficult circumstances. [A near death experience does have a way of gaining your attention. ] Your most important friend in time of great fear and distress is Holy Spirit. He is the Administrator and Coordinator of the Peace that was bequeathed to us from Christ Jesus.

Begin by embracing the Truth that God loves you and that He is for you, no matter what your circumstances. Even if you made a mistake you can always ask Him to turn your mistakes around for your good. He is there with you and sees everything. You must lean into Him and build your relationship with Holy Spirit so that you can hear His direction. He is speaking – you must learn how to hear Him and then do what He says. This is the fastest way out of your circumstances. Pray for Him to impart to you His discernment and skillful and Godly wisdom.

FEAR magnetizes all other unrighteous thoughts, drawing them towards an individual. FEAR is the Red Carpet that provides the jetway for jealousy, murderous rage, anger, covetousness, bitterness, shame, rejection and more – Get your mind under control and press out ALL fear. There are a several ways to tame the Fear dragon, and not one is difficult but each requires enough discipline to become a habit and better still – a default setting – whenever you are hard hit by a Fear Wall.

A) Read God’s Word. It acts as a water hose, rinsing off the dirt and grime that builds up from conversations, watching terror or violence laden TV, or just from being in the workplace. The Word of God is SPIRIT and is living and active. There is actual power in speaking aloud God’s Word – power that moves in the supernatural realm to accomplish our goals, and helps us take dominion over circumstances. There is a wealth of wisdom just in The Proverbs alone. There are 31 chapters of Proverbs, and one for each day. Commit to reading this powerful book.

The word “health” in Hebrew means ‘medicine’ and God’s Word is medicine that brings health to the soul. There is a difference between divine health and divine healing. John G Lake stated, ” Divine healing is the removal by the power of God of the disease that has come upon a body. But divine health is to live day by day, hour by hour in touch with God so that the life of God flows into the body just as the life of God flows into the mind or flows into the spirit.”

B) Call on the power of the Holy Spirit and invoke the Cross in Prayer. This is key. Fear is a spirit – as are the associated spirits of dread, terror, worry and anxiety. Before His death, Jesus bequeathed to all Peace as a gift from Him: “Peace I leave with you; My (own) peace I now give and bequeath to you“. John 14:27 AMP So if Jesus actually gave us His own peace – shouldn’t we have the ability to access it when needed ? Well…. yes we should.  Ask the Holy Spirit to cover and protect your mind with the Blood of Jesus and the Helmet of Salvation – a helmet of hope. Pray and acknowledge the verses describing the sacrifice of Jesus: Isaiah 53:5 and place emphasis on the Crown of Thorns that caused the blood of Jesus to flow. This allows for the healing in our minds.  I have personally experienced the effect of this many times. Imagine an etch a sketch pad with scribble across it and as you lift up that film, the scribble disappears. This is how thoroughly clean the Holy Spirit can remove unrighteous thinking in your mind when you partner with Him, the Paraclete.

C) Intensely focus your mind on Jesus who is ALL supply. There is no lack in Jesus unless you restrict His supply through your own lack of faith (your fear).  Not only is He the bright radiant Son that lights up all of Heaven, He is the Mediator of the Eternal Covenant, our High Priest, the Chief Shepherd, and the Chief Intercessor.  His sacrifice created an Eternal Covenant that ties back to the Covenant that God made with Abraham (father of a multitude) because Abram (high exalted father) believed in, trusted in, relied on and remained steadfast to the Lord Who counted it to him as righteousness (Genesis 15:6) Every citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven owns a title deed to the Covenant that God made with Abraham and with Jesus.

You, child of God, walk with favor, even if your present circumstances do not appear that way but you must hold fast to the hope that the Cavalry is coming because Calvary came!

Hope is a confident expectation of good, in every situation, praising God for His goodness.

Frequent drops of hope raining onto a person’s soul creates a consistent flow of faith. Remain in hope. Hope is much different than wishful thinking which is only based on man and not on God. Immerse yourself in hope-filled teachings avoiding teachers of behavior modification that do not understand that Jesus’ power is transformational through faith in Him.

C) Speak Words of Life during difficult circumstances.  “Death and life are in the power of the tongue”.  Proverbs 18:21 The rest of the verse states “and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof”.  Watch your words. Your words set the course for your life and you will have what you say. “Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks” (Matthew 12:34)  If you guard your heart – and do not allow fear and emotion to penetrate, this is the surest way that words of hope and life pouring from your mouth.

Remain in innocence – understand that the Lord is your Defender and Avenger. Do not respond in kind to people that are harmful or hateful. The Lord will take care of them in due time. And lastly, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and understanding and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.” Proverbs 3:5-6  Embracing this truth of trusting God will put your heart at rest then follow with prayer and ask the Holy Spirit to lead you to the next step of your journey.

fruit of faith

The word Fruit is a popular biblical word; fruit, fruitful, fruits – bible verse references for fruit take up a page and a half in my (exhaustive) Strong’s Concordance. Fruit means “the effect, the product or the good things that result from work or activity.” Fruit is a result or byproduct of an action or a state of being. Could this be your year to bear much fruit?

By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit.  John 15:8

Matthew 7:16 AMP ” You will fully recognize them by their fruits. Do people pick grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles?  Even so, every healthy (sound) tree bears good fruit (worthy of admiration), but the sickly (decaying, worthless) tree bears bad (worthless) fruit. A good (healthy) tree cannot bear bad (worthless) fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear excellent fruit (worthy of admiration).” [ highlights mine ]

For a healthy fruit tree, bearing fruit occurs naturally. With proper conditions of soil and nutrients, fruit breaks forth effortlessly from branches, on which they are completely dependent. The work comes from the tree (or vine) through the roots as it must find the moisture and nutrients to send up through to the branches that bear and support the fruit. The sap flows continually to nourish and provide moisture to the branch.

Like the fruit that bears from a healthy vine or tree with little effort, Believers can bear good fruit by becoming a conduit for “heavenly sap” to flow in and through by the Spirit. This comes from resting rooted and spending time – and plenty of time – in the rich and verdant soil of Jesus.

As His seed, Believers are expected to replicate and make disciples but first should look more like Christ themselves. All fruit has seeds and can self-replicate. Righteous living is an expected fruit for any believer – righteousness comes by faith. In fact righteousness is the Fruit of Faith.

Genesis 15:6 AMP “And he, Abram, believed in [trusted in, relied on, remained steadfast to] the Lord, and He counted it to him as righteousness.  [right standing with God ]. ”

Genesis 15:18-22 AMP ” [For Abraham, human reason for] hope being gone, hoped in faith that he should become the father of many nations, as he had been promised, So [numberless] shall your descendants be. 19 He did not weaken in faith when he considered the [utter] impotence of his own body, which was as good as dead because he was about a hundred years old, or [when he considered] the barrenness of Sarah’s [deadened] womb. 20 No unbelief or distrust made him waver (doubtingly question) concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong and was empowered by faith as he gave praise and glory to God, 21 Fully satisfied and assured that God was able and mighty to keep His word and to do what He had promised. 22 That is why faith was credited to him as righteousness (right standing with God). “

Righteousness is a state of being (a fruit) and not a state of doing, successfully achieved through unwavering focus on the promises of God and faith in the final sacrifice of Jesus –

One cannot attain right standing with God without first acknowledging that righteousness occurs solely because we are in Christ Jesus. God sees you as righteous and in right standing with Him because He sees you through the lens of your acceptance of the sacrifice of His Son. Being “In Christ” starts a process of transformation. Once saved, the fruit of that decision begins to grow and flourish from the inside out.  The moment that we believe Christ was the only one that could pay our sin debt as the Son of God – we are separated out by Him and considered righteous, but not by any of our own works. When you accepted Christ, did you work for it? No. You accepted Him BY FAITH.

In Christ

II Corinthians 5: 21 AMP ” For our sake He made Christ [ virtually ] to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in and through Him we might become [ endued with, viewed as being in, and examples of ] the righteousness of God [ what we ought to be, approved and acceptable and in right relationship with Him, by His goodness.] “

Consider that your righteousness is actually imparted as a gift from a loving Father Who Himself provided the required sacrifice of His Son to achieve the righteousness that He demands. This understanding should act to circumcise “self”; internal self -condemnation and internal self-reflection – causing our default response to look upward instead of inward.

A true revelation of God’s goodness, mercy, love and kindness towards His people acts as the foundation from which a person walks-out a righteous existence. This foundational belief should create a desire to live a virtuous life of integrity, and to live pleasing to a loving Father Who provides through the same Covenant He established with Abraham and inherited by all of his descendants.  see Genesis 15:5, 12:3

Being firmly planted in the soil of Jesus (the tree) brings forth excellent fruit (righteous living) on every branch (you).  Its about The Who and not your Do.

Without Jesus as your tree, your Fruit is bound to turn rotten. There is enough rotten fruit in the world from people that have no relationship with God. As Godly people – we should be showing Godly results –  Proverbs 12:30  “The fruit of the uncompromisingly righteous is a tree of life ……. “

This would be an example of bad fruit – https://youtu.be/BmPrt_gn-eM       Mrs. Doubtfire  50 secs

It is imperative that we know and understand God’s word while also viewing chapters and verses in proper context. In these times, we can no longer be spoonfed information that is scripturally inaccurate. Know why you ” think a thing ” – and then be able to back it up with understanding. I implore you friends – #studytheword

Swiss Red Cross

I think alot. This is probably what makes me a good strategist, non-fiction writer, master builder but for whatever reason God created me like this – to think ….. alot. It is sport for me to dismantle ideas and concepts; taking them apart and putting them back together in my mind to make them more efficient, faster, smarter. This “sport” also spills over into the way I consider spiritual concepts like prayer, healing, and the body, a subject that I have studied for two decades. There are few things that fascinate me more than prayer, emotional healing, the body and the mind. If I haven’t thought it I have probably read it from someone else. Thinkers tend to be voracious readers –

To that end, some of what I am about to write I can take little credit. The dots that were connected from the knowledge that I do have on this particular topic over to the Ah Ha! was a pure download from the Holy Spirit; a “Rolex Revelation” that floated into my spirit from The Spirit of Grace. I release it here now in hopes that it will help someone.

For many years I have had an active hobby of studying the mind, and negative emotions and how they impact the physical body. Not only have I walked through several seasons of illness into healing, but like everyone, I have watched at close range others struggle from trauma, fear, etc into disease. The primary culprits of long term emotional distress into physical impairment are: Trauma, Shame, Abuse, Protracted Fear / Terror, Rejection / Abandonment. These negative emotions typically emanate from harsh situations such as death, divorce, prolonged job loss, extreme financial lack, and shaming.  If left unchecked or remain unaddressed – these negative emotions begin to terrorize the physical body. You have the ability to bind these negative emotion “terrorists” – really spirits – before they become like metal balls in a pinball machine, bouncing throughout the body creating dis-ease, conditions and infirmities.

I have particularly noticed when a traumatic experience converts into a cancer as the human cells actually absorb or “take in” the trauma becoming damaged. I personally have walked through this in 2012 when a Stage 4 melanoma mole erupted onto my forearm following a highly traumatic season of protracted job loss and related rejection(s), even from a close fellowship with which I had been associated. It was a brutal season to say the least.

But this is not the Rolex Revelation – the Piece de Resistance that the Spirit laid on me regarding emotions, the mind and body and how to bind up / and control these spirits through The Spirit went much further and for the rest I am mostly a messenger –

When parents and grandparents experience significant seasons of trial and testing, oftentimes these valleys unsurprisingly hold the same result by producing severely negative impacts on their physical body. Unforgiveness, divorce, death of a spouse or child, bankruptcy or foreclosure, addiction cycles – parents go through situations at times of which even their children are unaware. These difficulties can and frequently do leave physical conditions. Arthritis, heart disease, cancer, colitis – an endless list of conditions spring from what started as a hardship that spawned negative emotions that lingered, and festered and lingered some more.

Fear is the most damaging of all and is the root of the others.

These same illnesses are believed by the medical community to have the ability to be inherited, ie that same child is now “genetically pre-disposed” to a particular illness that a parent acquired when he / she refused to deliver their package of circumstances to Christ the Healer;  the Healer of all things; finances, relationships, health.

If a parent has onset of a particular condition, disease or infirmity that came through the mind (extreme negative emotions) and into the body, that child should not be pre-disposed to this same illness UNLESS the child mirrors the same negative reaction that moved their parent into that condition in the first place. If your parent or grandparent went through a divorce (trauma), or suffered an extreme loss of any kind (more trauma) and then developed a physical condition (unrelated to an accident and typically not structural but can be) then you are not at risk for developing this disease. Also, and even more importantly, if you are in Christ, then Christ is in You! You now possess the power to overcome severely toxic negative emotions through the Blood of Jesus and the Holy Spirit’s power.

So what is the solution? I realize what I am about to write will sound very simplistic given life’s extraordinary obstacles. Step #1 is the continual and persistent management of fear and other deadly emotions through new covenant prayer and the sprinkling of the blood of Jesus by the Holy Spirit over the mind of a righteous person to erase torment.  You must ask the Holy Spirit to sprinkle the blood over your mind. There is nothing more holy than the blood of Jesus nor more powerful.

Once the mind is stabilized, then and only then, the brain and spirit can begin to rein in the circumstances. One needs to listen to and follow the Spirit’s leading out of these woods and onto the correct path. The ever present understanding of the immutable love of God and belief that He is working on our behalf provides needed peace and security in every storm; Tropical or Category 5 hurricane.

I have walked through two Cat 5 level hurricanes of circumstances, both occurring within a 10 year span. These were life altering but over time – life improving. The first Cat 5 I was in boot camp learning God as Father as well as Phase 1 on how to hear from the Holy Spirit. Had I not gone through the first storm I would never have survived the second which was worse. I suffered PTSD after these two storms but with the help of God successfully navigated out.  I can say without reservation the most stabilizing stance for anyone is to have a very close relationship with Jesus, having Him as the very foundation of life where here there is always a doctor in the house.

I Pray for You this Year –

that you gain deep understanding of the fullness of the magnificent power still held in the Blood of Christ Jesus – this blood that serves as the ratification for a New Covenant between God and Jesus on behalf of all humanity. The Agreement that is a guarantee of a new and better way, and one built from a platform of God’s love and grace.

that the Blood of Jesus serves as the only true means of release from sin and guilt and the remission of the due and merited punishment for sin. That Christ’s Blood’s efficacious flow covers the sins of the Righteous and is the eternal substitute and propitiation to God. This once and for all sacrifice and the grace that has been shown to us should be respected and acknowledged by the turning away from sin. Blood is the eternal currency of Heaven.

that you can now be numbered among the undevourable.  As a Christian, fully redeemed and bought back from eternal damnation, everything can now be covered in the fortress of the blood of Jesus. Whatever is covered with the blood of His Son –  God calls it protected and redeemed however this “coverage” must be an intentional spoken action.  The devil’s biggest threat is the blood of Christ – whose continuous flow constantly reminds that he has been defeated. When he walks about seeking whom he can destroy, he must pass you by when covered with the blood of Jesus. The Blood coupled with the unwavering knowledge that you are God’s Beloved is the greatest place of safety available to mankind.

that life is in the Blood and the Spirit and the Blood are one and inseparable.  That the outpouring of the blood of Christ was to make way for the outpouring of the Spirit – our internal teacher, comforter, healer, wisdom guide, and giver of spiritual gifts. Holy Spirit is the one that administrates and coordinates all of the gifts of the Covenant on behalf of the Son and the Father.

that the taking of the Lord’s Supper is indispensable to life. Jesus said that “Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you …. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in Me and I abide in Him”.  (John 6:53.56)
The confession and casting off, then the cleansing away of sin in the blood are the indispensable and all-sufficient preparation for a life in everlasting covenant with God (Andrew Murray). There is no deeper or more powerful inward action that permeates the body like the taking of the Lord’s Supper which carries the very DNA of Christ.

that His sacrifice through the shedding of His blood covers the scope of every human need: Healing (Rapha, Exodus 15:26), Provision (Jireh,Genesis 22:14), God’s presence, Victory over darkness (Nissi, Exodus 17:15), Peace (Shalom, Judges 6:24), Pastor/shepherd (Ra-ah, Psalm 23:1)  Redeemer of righteousness (Tsidkenu, Jeremiah 23:6) Sanctifier (M’ Kaddesh, Leviticus 20:8). You now stand from victory and not from defeat – the battle has already been won for you. Honor Him by embracing and walking out your benefits. What we have been given is a miracle.

Hebrews 9:14-15 AMP  How much more surely shall the blood of Christ, Who by virtue of [His] eternal Spirit [His own pre-existent divine personality] has offered Himself as an unblemished sacrifice to God, purify our consciences from dead works and lifeless observances to serve the [ever] living God? 15 Christ the Messiah is therefore the Negotiator and Mediator of an [entirely] new agreement (testament, covenant) so that those who are called and offered it may receive the fulfillment of the promised everlasting inheritance – since a death has taken place which rescues and delivers and redeems them from the transgressions committed under the (old) first agreement.

I Prayed for You A Doorway of Grace – To Have Deeper Knowledge of the Trinity

This is the first post in a new prayer series. My prayer for you is that He will open supernatural Doorways of Grace for many wonderful things in 2018.

On September 20 2017 during Rosh Hashana, the Hebrew Calendar began the year 5778;  Grace (5), Completion-Perfection (7), New Beginnings (8) Many are calling this the Year of the Open Door and with it high expectancy of a great year.

Unexpected open doors are not something that should be overlooked, ignored or dismissed.  Unsolicited offers can come with no warning, often times requiring a decision to take a course direction that defies rational thinking  and a circuitous route rather than a straight flight pattern. These can come from the mind of God and the plan of God as He has all foreknowledge; knowing the beginning from the end, and where He needs you to be to blend together the proper ingredients to create a Masterpiece of purpose and destiny.

It is our responsibility to be ever watchful for these doors and to seek His Presence and confirm they are from Him.  These can be Kairos and And Suddenly moments through which doors of opportunity swing wide into an exciting territory of fruitful super abundance and a place that welcomes into your Assignment. These swing only on 2 maybe 3 hinges, fashioned by Him on your behalf, through circumstances that allow these Doorways of Grace to swing open.

I Pray For You This Year –

That you will have encounters with Holy Spirit, the One who grants favor while deeply learning to understand the importance of honoring Him. To know that He is the One who formed you in your mother’s womb (Job 33:4) and deposited your spiritual giftings, skills and talents (1 Corinthians 12:4-11). He is a Person and the Spirit of Jesus Who seeks to point you back to Jesus when needed.  Holy Spirit determines your Assignment (Acts 13:2-4)  and it is He that prays for you on the Earth (Romans 8:26). He will be the One that raises you from the dead just as He raised Christ from the dead (Romans 8:11), when Jesus returns to the Earth.  He is the One that navigates through tight corners and high ledges. The Holy Spirit, is the One that can and will remove fear and is the ultimate Mind Manager. The chastisements Jesus took on His body for our Peace (Isaiah 53:5) – make a way for the Holy Spirit to control the operating panel of our minds if we allow Him to take over (Galatians 5:22,23) . Jesus before His death and resurrection bequeathed us the Gift of Peace.

That you will come to know, worship and adore King Jesus, the Christ, the Anointed One, who is The Door (John 10:9)  and the way, the truth and the life as the Good Shepherd (John 10:11) for the sheep. Anyone accessing life through the gateway of His Blood has gained eternal life. Jesus is the Chief Intercessor (Heb. 7:25) , and petitions on your behalf to God. His death has redeemed ( bought back) all human sin from the beginning of time to the end of time, disconnecting the sin line of Adam and creating for those who believe a pathway of life by Covenant with a holy God.  Jesus as High Priest, represents you to a sacred, sinless God and has become your righteousness. When God looks at you, He views through the lens of the blood of Christ which pronounces you cleansed and perfected.(Heb 10:14)  Jesus is the Mediator of the Eternal Covenant – He reconciled the enmity working between every man, making peace in each body through His own body and blood (Ephesians 2:15,16) He is working in you even now to complete, perfect and equip you with every good thing to enable to work out His will for your life  (Heb 13:20-21).
